Kovac Brothers is an indie band known for their eclectic blend of genres, captivating performances, and remarkable brotherly chemistry on stage. Frank and Jim Kovac combine over 30 years of music experience and a craving for originality to create Kovac Brothers. Their music often weaves together elements of jazz, country, and roots music, creating a unique and energetic sound that appeals to a wide audience. They often refer to their music as rock with a country jazz spice!
Frank and Jim had separate successes in the music industry before they performed on a major stage at the 1997 HORDE Tour in Philadelphia with Colonel Bruce Hampton (Aquarium Rescue Unit) and members of Leftover Salmon. At the time, Frank Kovac was touring relentlessly with New Brown Hat. He had been on this tour with the likes of Blues Traveler, Ben Folds Five, Edwin McCain, Beck, and Neil Young. At the same time, Jim Kovac was a free-lance drummer, a hired gun, most notably with industrial band Simulcast, hip-hop group the The Nervous System and pop singer Amie Miriello, now Dirtie Blonde and backup vocalist with certified platinum recording artist Sugarland and Megan Moroney. .
Teaming up with old friend, renowned producer Brad Young, they released the album “Seeing is Believing”. They have a Live Album released in 2024 and in the summer of 2025 released “Midnight Time”, with producer Jason Polise. “Midnight Time” has been creating some great buzz and there is currently newer material that they are ready to record, for their fourth album this year. With their adept musicianship and soulful vocals, they have gained a reputation for delivering memorable live shows and leaving a lasting impression on their listeners.
